Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge: Last Meal…

It’s time again for the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews.
Today’s topic is: What My Last Meal Would Be
I love food. Love. Food. I’m pretty much an equal opportunity eater, and my first thoughts went to the things that are super expensive and that I have only occasionally because of that (like prime rib and lobster), but honestly, my favorite food in the world?

Pizza.
Maybe calzones (which, honestly, is just a folded pizza, right?)
I love pizza so much. Nearly any toppings (NO PINEAPPLE PLEASE — ::: gag ::: ), but marinara/red sauce is a must. None of that barbeque or buffalo. That’s NOT pizza.
My favorite type is one a joint here calls “Sal’s Special”: pepperoni, black olives, peppers, onions and mushrooms. I guess that’s basically a supreme, but yum. Thin crust is a must. And more veggies is perfectly fine with me (except that breaded eggplant ickiness … WTH? I’ve never seen that until I moved east).
But I suppose I’d settle for a nice medium rare slab of prime rib and a fresh cooked lobster. If I must.

  1. I forgot to add pizza to my list of favorites….. I could honestly (I think) eat pizza every day. Never heard of eggplant on a pizza… I think I’ll pass on that.

    1. Yeah, the eggplant thing was strange. Plus it was breaded and deep fried first. How weird is that?

    1. I love homemade pizza, but the hubs doesn’t so we mostly order out. We’re lucky to have a couple REALLY good local pizza places nearby.

    1. I prefer a thin crust, but I don’t say no to thick (or pan). Thick crust gets kudos if it’s stuffed with cheese and brushed with garlic butter. Mmmmmm…. now I’m hungry for pizza in the worst way.

  2. Pizza is one of my favorites as well. I love the wood-fired individual pizzas. I’ve recently discovered adding arugula to those wide-fired delicacies (from my favorite local pizzeria) which adds a nice zest.

  3. It’s really hard to go wrong with pizza, isn’t it? I mean, you can find a pizza to suit almost anyone. (I’m not partial to pineapple myself — in general, not just on pizza — but I wouldn’t begrudge anybody who wanted it. Just order more pizza!)
